We’re obsessed with Trader Joe’s. (Okay, but who isn’t?!) Any time any of us try something new, it’s immediately a topic of in-office discussion. With such amazing prices, stores pretty close to where we all live, and so many healthy options, it’s no surprise that we’re addicted. Because we couldn’t already get enough, here are the products we think you need to try immediately.
Omega Trek Mix
I am literally eating this right now as I type this (inception!!). This trail mix is a nice lil blend of nuts, seeds, and dried cranberries. I like to buy the prepackaged “just a handful” mini packs, which is a great way to control my portion. Just the little bit really fills me up between meals!!
Electric Buzz Coffee Cups
Come on, admit it — you have a Keurig, and you love it. But you DON’T love shelling out almost a dollar each for k-cups. Enter Trader Joe’s brand cups!! They come in a lot of varieties (all of which are cheaper than the name brand variation), but this kind is the best because it has more caffeine than a standard cup of coffee. Mother may I!
Frozen Quinoa and Frozen Brown Rice
Anyone who has made quinoa or brown rice from scratch knows it can be a tedious process that frequently ends with it burnt to the pan. These frozen options are ready to go in 5 minutes and help me create healthy, delicious salad bowl dinners that would otherwise take 40+ minutes.
Goat Cheese
Actually all the cheese at Trader Joe’s inevitably ends up costing way less than any other grocery store I’ve found. I stock up when I go.
Peppermint Joe Joe’s
This seasonal, peppermint Oreo-like cookie is a family favorite. We stock up when they come out in November since they sell out quickly!
Trader Joe’s Espresso Capsules
I am a slave to my Nespresso in the morning. So I almost screamed in the coffee aisle when I found out Trader Joe’s just launched espresso capsules that are compatible with the original Nespresso machines. You get 10 capsules for $3.99 – that’s 39 cents a capsule. Way less than the 50 cents I was paying for Nespresso brand capsules.
Vegan Cashew, Kale, and Basil Pesto
For anyone with dairy sensitivities, this is your new go-to. It tastes just like regular pesto. Put it on top of the cauliflower gnocchi (cook in butter, no water like it says) and you’re basically at an Italian restaurant.
Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons
Everyone needs a favorite frozen meal to make when you have no time. This is my go-to!
Marcona Almonds with Rosemary
Who doesn’t love a good charcuterie board? These almonds pair well with any of your favorite cheeses.
Bamba Peanut Snacks
These are delicious and the price cannot be beaten. Such a great item to snack on!
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
I truly cannot even put into words how much I love these. I have a huge sweet tooth and always need a little piece of chocolate to satisfy it, and boy oh boy, nothing satisfies it quite like these. You don’t need to be a dark chocolate lover to seriously appreciate these — if you haven’t tried them yet, do yourself a favor and pick them up.
Shredded Hash Browns
If I could only eat potatoes for the rest of my life, I’d be happy. These are so easy to make for a quick breakfast. I usually top them with a sunny-side-up egg and some hot sauce. Heaven.
Maple Leaf Cookies
I always go to Trader Joe’s for seasonal treats. These are SO good and a staple in my kitchen during the fall. I especially love them with TJ’s apple cider!
Pumpkin Tortilla Chips
These are my favorite tortilla chips ever, and if I could bottle them up and savor them all throughout the year, I would. Usually, TJ’s comes out with an amazing pumpkin salsa as well, but these are good with any other salsa (spicy preferred) or hummus!
Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
Truly one of my Can’t-Live-Without-It products I always have stocked in my pantry. When I’m trying to be healthy but craving a good ol’ bagel sandwich, some sourdough toast, avocado, and a sprinkle of this seasoning is the next best thing. It’s also delicious on eggs, pasta, etc.– you name it and I’ve put this seasoning on it.
Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry
I’m sorry, but TJ’s has the best frozen food ever, and you can fight me on that. Not only is this stir fry insanely delicious, but it’s made 100% out of frozen veggies since it’s cauliflower instead of rice. I just add some scrambled eggs or tofu for the best stir fry of all time. It’s seriously that simple!
Cookie Butter
Duh. It’s Christmas in a jar!
Mandarin Orange Chicken
Not to be dramatic, but the TJ’s Mandarin Chicken literally keeps me alive. It’s incredibly easy to make — dump chicken in pan, dump sauce in pan, add rice if you like, stir, eat, die happy — and you can squeeze a couple of meals out of one bag if you’re a single lady like moi (holla). I try to buy at least two packages every time I visit the store because I know I will never not want that chicken.
Shrimpy Shirmpy Stir-Fry (TJ’s Shrimp Stir Fry + Extra Shrimp)
The Trader Joe’s stir-frys are so easy they seem like a conspiracy. Literally, just open and dump. The shrimp one is my fave cause I’m a shrimp gurl 4 lyfe. I also like to buy a bag of just frozen shrimp and add some to the stir-fry, making what I call “Shrimpy Shrimpy Stir-Fry.” Also included: a liberal splash of soy sauce.
