Raise your hand if you can vividly remember the first bra you ever wore — please note, my hand is currently raised high up in the air. My first ~training bra~ was pasty white, with thick straps and ZERO support. I was mortified. I remember asking my mom what the boys in my class would think — and worse yet, what the other GIRLS would think.
It’s funny to think back on the fact that there was ever a time that I was embarrassed for my girlfriends to know about my bra. Now when I have a bra I absolutely love, I want to shout it from the rooftops — and tell every woman in the world why she should get it too.
That’s exactly how I feel about the Knix 8-in-1 Evolution Bra — it’s the bra I’ve been searching for since those first fateful 6th grade days, and I want to let every woman in the world know to stop stressing about what undergarments to wear.
Here, I’ll tell you all about why the Knix Evolution Bra is the greatest thing to touch my boobs since Harry Styles (whoops — wishful thinking).
1. The 8-in-1 ain’t no joke — this bra is SUPER versatile.
First thing’s first: this bra is reversible, which basically makes it two bras in one (more on that in a minute). Not only that, but it also features two sets of straps that can be worn straight or cross-back. Whether your top shows a little shoulder or you just want a classic set of straps — you’re covered (literally).
2. Less wires than AirPods (and by that I mean — ZERO wires).
I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to put wires in bras, but whoever it was is no friend of mine. A wireless bra is truly the most comfortable garment to get you through the day — you’ll forget you’re wearing it, and you won’t spend all day dreaming of taking it off (because we’ve all done the whole take-it-off-through-your-shirt-right-after-you-get-home routine). But don’t get me wrong, just because it doesn’t have a wire doesn’t mean it compromises support — it actually has more support than most traditional, wire bras (it’s even enough to keep you contained through a full workout). That means all the support with all of the comfort — win, win.
3. It’s reversible — meaning it goes with EVERYTHING.
Before the Evolution Bra, my favorite bra was black and lacy — super cute and sexy, but didn’t go with much. Anytime I wore white, or even just a plain-front shirt, it was visible. The Evolution bra is reversible — so you can go with black on one side and beige on the other, or patterned on one side and solid on another, or any of Knix’s many other options. Forget picking the “practical” color just to be safe — this way, you can have your cake and eat it too. The lack of wires and reversibility don’t mean that this is a bra you would’ve worn under your middle school gym shirt in sixth grade — it’s still the quality, grown-up bra you deserve.
4. It’s as tough as you are in the gym.
Not only is this bra comfortable enough to wear on a hike or to a yoga class, but it’s also made of moisture-wicking performance fabric — meaning it can PERFORM in those situations too. I’ve always hated having to remember packing a different bra for the gym after a day at work — but now I don’t have to. Not only can I go from the office to an elliptical without changing my bra, but I won’t have to worry about ruining it either — the seamless material can hold up in my sweatiest workouts.
5. It can be anything you want it to be.
As if the versatility of design, lack of wires, reversibility, flexibility, and performance of the bra isn’t enough — there’s one more thing that sets the Evolution Bra apart from the multitudes of other bras out there. Your new favorite bra comes in both padded and non-padded versions — giving you the freedom to cover up or let a little nip slip at your leisure. I personally prefer the padded black/beige version with the straps upright — but the beauty is that it isn’t up to me. You can wear yours however you want!
