When I was little, I was obsessed with dressing like “an adult.” I used to pore over the J.Crew catalog and circle all the tweed pencil skirts and slim-cut blazers with a chunky sharpie, as if, at 11 years old, I needed a wardrobe befitting a Kennedy. I remember begging my mom to take me to The Limited, where I eventually bought my very first suit (I still have it! And have worn it like once in my life, whoops), which they sent me home with in a garment bag — possibly the coolest thing that had ever happened to me.
What is it about workwear? It’s just so. freakin. chic. and tailored and powerful. It means business because you mean business, ya know? ANYWAY, even though I don’t have a career in which I need to don a suit every day (young me would be so disappointed honestly), I can still ogle all the delicious tailored pieces available at the Nordstrom sale… and have compiled them all here for your ogling benefit as well! *applause*
