Honest confession: I’m addicted to Instagram stories.
I can spend hours (and hours and hours…) a day getting lost in Instagram story blogger ramblings on everything from grocery shopping to what sweater is on sale. It’s mind numbing and has completely replaced my television.
Another confession I have to make to you dear internet is that I love to walk around my house and fake Instagram story. If you’re all “Wtf this girl is insane how did I end up here,” let me explain. Basically, it’s you in the mirror talking (can be inside your head or out loud — either way is perfectly acceptable) to your seven million fake fans about why you LOVE this mascara and how you achieve the perfect dewy highlight in less than 10 minutes. Or making dinner and imagining recording every step for your dedicated followers. Hundreds of messages will come in like OMG ALLYSON PLZ SHARE THAT RECIPE!!
It’s a little creepy and honestly, an incredibly relaxing (also read: free) pastime.
If you’re a fan of the “unboxing” video (I love them so much), you’ll love being subscribed to FabFitFun. Before you groan “not another subscription box,” listen up: FFF is not like other boxes. You’re not getting tricked by samples and you’ll never open the box feeling like you didn’t get more than your money’s worth. Each box is filled with over $250 worth of product, so from start to finish, you can do AT LEAST a 15-minute fake unboxing breakdown. Your dogs will be riveted.
All joking aside, here’s a quick rundown of the reasons I love FabFitFun.
#1. It’s so much better than the UPS guy dropping off a package and having momentary memory lapse of what you bought online in the late hours of Instagram stalking… because you actually don’t know what you’re going to get and surprises are fun.
#2. The box comes at the beginning of the season which makes it more affordable and special than a monthly subscription.
#3. If it’s your first time subscribing, FFF will give you a coupon code and basically I love anyone who will give me a discount. #ballingonabudget
#4. You can join anytime and get the current box. There’s no magic cutoff date or trickery. And there’s something to be said for a company that makes the entire process transparent and easy.
#5. I just love trying new stuff. I know that’s a fairly simple reason, but I get so many full-size products to try that even if I tried to do a drugstore haul, I wouldn’t come away with as much for $50.
SPOILER ALERT: I’m going to give you an exclusive preview of what’s in the Winter box so if you prefer to be surprised, click here and use the code EG10 for $10 off your first box, BUT DO NOT SCROLL DOWN BECAUSE I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT CUTE ITEM CATCHES YOUR EYE.
